My wireless internet sometimes doesn't work, then later it does. I don't understand why. I have BroadCom drivers installed. It use to work using HP Wireless Assistant, but then it just didn't work. Then I tried downloading different kinds of Broadcom drivers, but somehow I got a Broadcom Wireless Utility. Though... now that's not even working... I don't know what to do...
I'download broadcom wireless utilitym assuming you're using Windows XP.
Uninstall all the "assistant" type programs, and use the "Let Windows Manage my Wireless Connection" option. It's much more reliable. If you can't find that option, go to Windows Update and get all your updates, including hardware drivers that Windows recommends for your NIC.
wireless is tricky, sensitive and a pdownload broadcom wireless utilityain. Windows actually does do a better job keeping the connection open.
Also, do you have a router that does NAT? (hardware firewall?) if not, get one, and secure your wireless connection so that your neighbors can't get on. other PC's connecting and disconnecting to your wireless can break your connection.
