Actually, you don't want the toolbar, unclicking the box is one thing. Yet the correct answer depends upon whether or not the user alradd search engine toolbaready HAS a DEFAULT search engine. WinXP Home/Pro; tools/internet options/general tab/search/(change default) settings, click/choose google as default

Set youadd search engine toolbarr homepage to www.google.com definitely. You might also consider dogpile.com which uses multiple search engines.
