Doc and Festus and Matt and Sunshine
Festus and Doc were playing their daily checkers game.
The tension was palatable. Doc was in the lead and acting rather smug, truth be told.
Doc:"Festus, my good man.......I am winning and I intend to bury you!!"
Festus stopped squinting his right eye and looked up.
Festus:"(4) The truth is more important than the facts....And here's the truth.... ? I shall overcome ?"
Docwise short quotes winced at Festus' lack of singing skills.
Doc:" (5) We need not think alike to love alike. And noooooow....... watch THIS MOVE!!! "
Festus stared at the board. He was so stunned that BOTH his eyes began to squint! In dispair, he dropped his chin to his chest and started to sob.
Doc:" It's okay, Festus...Let it all out. (1) An ounce of emotion is equal to a ton of facts."
Festus cleared his throat.
Festus:"Doc....I know darn well that you cheated!!!"
Doc:"WHAT?!!"
At that moment U.S.Marshal Matt Dillon came through the door.
Matt:"What's going on, here? What's the problem?"
Doc:"This POOR Lwise short quotesOSER is accusung me of cheating!"
Matt:"Festus?! Is this true?"
Festus walked to the door and opened it.
Festus:" Matthew .....He cheated. If I'm lyin' I'm a' dyin'."
As he opened the door to leave, Sunshine came skipping in. Festus tipped his hat to her.
Festus: "I'll leave you with some advice, Matthew." He looked at Sunshine with a warm smile; Then he glared at Doc.
"(2) Love all, trust a few."
